Glass and Porcelain Insulators made in Argentina. Image Gallery for Glass. Foreign insulators found in Argentina. Buenos Aires' narrow trail Argentina has a rich railway related history. It couldn't be either way in such a large country specializing it's economy in exportating cereals and meat. The latest years of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th uptill the proliferation of automobiles and trucks, Argentina wouldn't have existed nor developed if it wasn't for the superb railway system built jointly with British and French companies -the foremost experienced countries within this field. Among the famous railway stories in Argentina is the outstanding and chick Trochita that took us in a journey of history, culture, pleasure and outstanding landscapes, throughout the Patagonia. Topic: Car Shows
Old Vintage Cars from Argentina
Old Vintage Cars from Argentina and Uruguay, Art Dealer is working on the idea of buying all a Classic car, a Sports car, a vintage classic 4WD from IKA, Argentine Kaiser Industries, as well as a modern 4WD, for its rally car shared time club. Proceeding in the same way one does when acquiring a real estate property, our members will be entitled to the use of each of these vehicles thru a determined period during the year. Owning one of these marvelous vehicles at home, keeping it in perfect tune, and traveling around the world with it to take part in rallies, is very expensive and sometimes a luxury hard to keep up with. But owning it within a club society makes the process much easier, fun and affordable.... or for more information email me. For more information: Email: admin@frassinetti.com Bob Frassinetti.
Bookmark and Share

First Barbie store a hit in Argentina
Johnny Depp a loving father collector, .......... If during the mid 80s and early 90s when the worldly famous 21 Jump Street TV series was airing someone would match the name of Depp to the word doll, non of those commenting on that would ever think that it was as a noun that dolls were included in that match. But times change, people grow and evolve. And in these days, Johnny Depp, this gorgeous sex symbol and bright actor, is a father. And as my grandma would say, his children are the light of his eyes, what makes him breath and live. There’s no question about it, he talks about this on each and every single interview. Recently making reference to his way of life and his relationship with his kids Depp told the media that one of his main hobbies is to play with Barbie dolls with his daughter Lily Rose.

The hunk who’s now a father has changed his bad boy attitude for the precious Barbie dolls. While actually Lily Rose Depp is the famous collector behind this article, Johnny is now a Barbie fan too!

First Barbie store a hit in Argentina

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) - The idea came to Tito Loizeau in a Buenos Aires shopping mall three years ago: Build a Barbie-themed store and little girls and their parents' money will follow. Loizeau's marketing company had set up a small "House of Barbie" promotion for Mattel Inc. inside the mall. He was astounded by the reaction: Girls waited for hours to get in, and mothers made offers on clothes he'd hung up for decoration -- never mind that they didn't have anything to do with Barbie.  "It would be a pink shirt you could buy anywhere in the mall," Loizeau said, "But they'd want the shirt because it was associated with Barbie." So he set out to open the world's first Barbie "fashion-tainment" store, where girls can get glittery hairdos and make up at the Barbie beauty parlor or try on gowns and play with dolls in the Barbie playroom, all while their parents nibble pink-frosted desserts in the Barbie cafe.  Loizeau, 37, spent a year persuading El Segundo, California-based Mattel to license the idea. Then he and two associates put up $500,000 of their own money to open the "Barbie Store." Loizeau's group has exclusive rights to the Barbie Store license in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay, plus first-option rights in the rest of Latin America. Mattel gets a percentage of sales and the right to expand the concept anywhere else worldwide.  The store opened in September and now Buenos Aires' chic Palermo neighborhood, home to swank restaurants, boutiques and tony townhouses, is all abuzz with Barbie. While some parents may bemoan Barbie's conspicuous consumption and her particular image of womanhood, she appears have plenty of adoring fans in the Argentine capital.  "There are girls who come every single day," Loizeau said. "No one understands it." The $7-an-hour playroom inside the store has toys and dolls, costumes, make up and jewelry, and a small catwalk for girls to parade on under disco lights. The store also includes a beauty salon, where girls can get everything from a glamorous hairstyle to a painted butterfly on a cheek, plus a coffee shop. And the Barbie playroom is available for parties, starting at around $650. A few Barbies are for sale, but selling dolls isn't the retail focus of the store. Instead, there are T-shirts, skirts, pants and handbags -- most in shades of pink -- that are designed and made in Argentina and only available at the Barbie Store. The items sell for 10 percent more than similar clothes at other stores without the Barbie logo, Loizeau said.  While Loizeau's original idea was to sell glamorous Barbie outfits in kid sizes, focus groups showed mothers were not so keen -- even if the girls themselves might have loved the idea. Instead, he commissioned a line of basic kids clothing that comes with matching items for dolls. "It's OK for them to dress up like Barbie for a couple of hours," Loizeau said, "but when they go home, they're still little girls." The clothing line initially targeted girls 3 to 9, but Loizeau said they added bigger sizes after girls as old as 16 came in wanting Barbie clothes. His group may branch into adult clothing.  The store's revenue topped projections by 40 percent, Loizeau said, although he keeps his financial figures private.  Now he and his partners are planning to secure outside funding to start opening stores in other cities in the region.  The Argentine store is the latest Barbie-related licensing venture for Mattel, the world's largest toy maker, which has struggled with several high-profile recalls this year involving Chinese-made toys. Over the past few years, Mattel has licensed clothing shops in Asia, organized Barbie fashion shows, and started a Barbie online community for girls.  "We've done a lot of work to maintain Barbie's relevance by extending her into other parts of a little girl's life," said Mattel's Richard Dickson, who oversees non-toy extensions of the Barbie brand.  Barbie, which first sold in 1959 and is still the world's No. 1 fashion doll, is evolving into something of a "lifestyle brand," said independent toy analyst Chris Byrne of Byrne Communications, Inc.  But Byrne said Barbie Store is unlikely to take off in the United States. "You might see a Barbie boutique within a department store, but you're probably not going to see a stand-alone store." Although Mattel subsidiary American Girl has been successful with U.S. stores offering cafes, photo studios and doll hair salons, American Girl sells its dolls directly, whereas Barbies are available at competing retail stores.  "If Mattel suddenly goes into competition with its established channels of distribution, it's going to add a lot to cost and not to profitability," Byrne said.  Loizeau said his store promotes the Barbie brand without competing directly with doll retailers. "We're not a toy store," he said. "Girls play here and then they want a Barbie." And judging from the reaction in Buenos Aires, it seems to be working.  "The only bad thing is there's nothing for boys," said Liliana Benifes, as her 3-year-old daughter played in the Barbie room.  The playhouse was an unexpected hit. Loizeau said he had initially expected 20 or 30 girls a day, but some days the "Casa de Barbie" gets as many as 150 children.  "When the time is up, they ask their mothers for another hour," Loizeau said. On Saturday afternoons, he added, "it's chaos." And when there's a birthday party, some girls "get angry that they can't go in, and they throw tantrums."

Updated in 2009, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Roberto Dario Frassinetti. Art & Toy Museum Gallery Building, today a project, tomorrow we start building! Good news to art, antique and toy collectors ………. Building Real Estate Investment for Collectors & Collectibles. Investment with a future……… Buenos Aires with a view. It often comes to my mind that life’s all about taking pleasure in the things you do. I’m an art & antique dealer, a collector in my own way. It comes from my heart, it’s an inner impulse. I enjoy very much a great item, interesting crafting, and the uniqueness in the things I own. I have collected items even before I was a dealer; all sort of interesting things that caught my eye. When I was a child, these actions of mine were referred as hobbies, now; I’m a collector, into collectibles. I don’t mind labels. Recently I got hold of several articles about investing in collectibles. And they where very enlightening articles. That pointed to different approaches to this way of investment. Throughout the article the author approached the pros and cons of investing in collectibles, the sales profits, the losses throughout time and the low return of your investment… It’s obvious; an item goes a long way before it’s appreciated as an antique or vintage item. For example, Christie’s –the famous British auction house- has just recently begun to auction 1970s vintage items. So, you can figure out how long you’ll have to wait… To us, collectors’, waiting isn’t a problem, and our collectibles are not just mere money investments of which we’re expecting a monetary return soon. Most of our returns are passionate feelings awaked by the beauty of the item we’ve acquired; non tangible profits are one of the best possible returns for a collector. The exact moment in which you spot the object of your affection, when you point it out from the crowd and decide it has to be yours, has no price. Collectibles go all the way from toys to scholar items, from stamps to sculptures, art pieces, vintage trains and antique cars… Indeed, our collectibles are investments. Of course these items can be bought and sold over and over, and in each transaction we can make some extra money. But investing in collectibles is not just about the money, and anyone who’s a collector knows what I’m talking about. We, collectors, invest our time and money not just in the purchase of the item in question but also in its conservation and also in its background history. Investing in collectibles is exiting and interesting. But I don’t think we look at this “investment” in monetary terms, at least not the whole of it. I think collectors are natural investors that consider the economical side as much as the emotional and non tangible ones. I’m thinking that at this moment its time marching my 2 pet projects together, The Buenos Aires Toy Museum and “www.frassinetti.biz” and so will be developed into them into a profitable Real Estate Trust Fund or Holding investment, thought by collectors for fellow collectors. The idea is simple; it would consist of purchasing a property in one of the small villages around the Northern corridor of Buenos Aires Province, the part of the Province that runs along the Pan-American Highway, some where from the North of San Isidro to North of Pilar City……. These are today’s most exclusive Real Estate areas and developing a boutique-gallery museum lodging. Named, “The Buenos Aires Art and Toy Museum Gallery. Trust Fund” A special location for collectors from all over the world who appreciate Argentinean made items –from vintage toys to art-, customized rooms exhibiting one of a kind collectibles, special experts on Argentinean collectibles arranging antique hunts to unknown and valuable markets within Buenos Aires, are just some of this investment’s attractive features. In terms of investments, Argentinean Real Estates is one of the most profitable ventures at the moment offering US Dollar gains and profits not in “pesos”. At this moment it’s already a on going Project, which I’m developing thru a Trust Fund that’s being set up. I’ll be follow up here with news and Architectural Plans for the ground sight as soon as I‘m back from my tractor hunting trip and met up with the architects and Real Estate lawyers. Marilu Doll made in Argentina
Dolls only made in Argentina. The story of Marilu is the story of hundreds of Argentine girls who grew up playing with these dolls, who sowed those tiny gorgeous outfits taylormade for their own doll with those unique Parisian flavored model-patterns that appeared in the monthly issue of the Marilu Magazine. According to the experts it all began back in 1932 when Alicia Larguia talked with the German doll manufacturers Kammer & Reinhardt for a custom made porcelain doll. This was the genesis of a broad generation of sophisticated top notch dolls made for the luxury Argentinean consumption. Soon after the first models were made the doll was indeed a true success among the upper argentine society. By 1936 the production was taken over by another German firm: Konig and Wernicke. It would take until 1940 till a fully Argentine firm began to conceive and coordinate the production of these sophisticated gorgeous dolls. Early in 1940 the local Bebilandia was the sole company in charge of producing and marketing the outstanding Marilu. The Marilu dolls were true artistic creations, handcrafted and decorated in detail to the extent of featuring expressions and twinkling eyes… These were paste and wooden made dolls; the hair was natural and original; the eyes –one of the most outstanding features- were light blue sleepy looking. However the extreme detail within the lips, teeth, and tongue were the top detail references. Even back in 1940 this was the most sophisticated and valuable Marilu doll available. Without a doubt it still is, for that careful detail within the finishing touches is indeed an appreciated feature both for collectors and amateurs who enjoy the beauty within the artwork. This particular model had wooden legs and arms that had been coated with a couple of delicate paste layers to create a very finished real look. The fine technique for the articulations movements is outstanding; shoulders, elbows and hands move and rotate naturally. There’s a unique trademark sign that helps to identify the original Marilu dolls, and that is a blue stamp on the back of the neck –generally hidden by the long and beautiful hair-. Marilu dolls are 55 centimeters tall by 20 centimeters wide and 10 depth; this standardized size was the key to the other outstanding feature that came along with the beautiful doll: a stupendous, chic and sophisticated wardrobe. Featuring the latest stylish addition to the Parisian aesthetic trend or the newest Argentine creation a broad doll sized wardrobe kept up-to-date the doll image with which Society girls identified deeply. In those days the French feminine influence was without a doubt the strongest female role model. Considering this, we can trace a deep and strong influence that the French Bluette dolls had on the conception and development of Marilu. Alike the French weekly magazine La Semain the Suzette, Marilu Magazine was also a trend setter. These magazines were solely issued for the young female public; it was indeed the best proven proper method to assist these young girls into the feminine world of the time. Cuisine, sewing, bricolage, fairy tale stories and girly games were the index options featured by these publications. This super chic edition together and the oh-my-god fashionable doll wardrobe teamed up with the Marilu store for the moms and young women that alike the doll outfits were at the avant-garde of stylish clothing in Buenos Aires. Indeed Marilu was a trend setter for the feminine Argentine public. When researching the origins of those superb tailored mini outfits Marilu Dolls modeled we had the pleasure of meeting the relatives of one of the first Marilu tailors: Bid and Rene. They were so pleased with the research we had carried on trying to recover the story of Marilu from oblivion in the national and international market. They told us the insight story of the Marilu wardrobe in the early days of it’s conception. The Bidegain family who lived in Argentina was in the shoe making business –this was a family craft that was passed generation to generation-. Jean Hiriart who was Georges Bidegain's brother-in-law owned a shoe store called "Les Bebes" on Florida Ave in downtown Buenos Aires’ hottest and most sophisticated shopping area. A sunny morning while he was working on a great pair of shoes a beautiful woman walked in and asked Mr. Hiriart if he would make shoes for a doll that she was making. He said he was too into his shoemaking work but thought that his apprentice Georges Bidegain, would make them for her. Georges and his wife, Denise de Jaureguiberry, and her sister, Marguerite started making shoes and clothes for the woman's doll. The doll was "Marilu." Unfortunately when the Bidegain family left the Argentine Republic to their motherland France they had a trunk full of their own production and the Marilu dolls that was stolen the minute they set foot on the old continent. Nonetheless, in spite of the fact that the newer Bidegain generations couldn’t enjoy first hand these gorgeous dolls, they had left the world’s doll lovers a true and extremely valuable gift of sophistication, beauty and quality products for children. Ona Leyendas Historieta Argentino
Topic: Toy Museum, Comic Story
Ona Leyendas, Historieta hecho en la Argentina
Fantastico Cuento de las Ona Leyendas, Historieta hecho en la Argentina. Las Leyendas Ona, el Fin del Mundo. La Tierra del Fuego,..... The Buenos Aires Toy Museum. Comic by Toy Museum Team. Topic: Toy Museum, Comic Story The Buenos Aires Toy Museum. The End of the World. The Land of Fire Our creative team at The Buenos Aires Toy Musuem is currently developing the museum’s very own comic strip story. Featuring a unique story line of marvel, emotion, adventure and great challenges, our very own comic is being customize designed for us by a team of artists, painters and literature experts… The concept and interest in developing this project began as a general and vague idea a couple of years ago. We had been working a while in research projects related to the history of toys and games in Argentina, when we discovered a very interesting and appealing facet of games in general. We realized that these games and toys were representations of a determined state of culture, history and personal beliefs that thru means of objects, writings and popular beliefs, became real and lasting, having –those of quality and whit- a strong impact on society and culture. We then came up with the idea of creating a multimedia game-toy-concept that would become a trademark of ourselves, our time, our ideas, as well as our hopes and dreams. The idea of creating a story, narrating a fictionalized version of our thoughts, wishes and dreams was tied from the very beginning to our history as individuals as well as a nation. The idea was also routed on a small tribe known as “Ona Indians” an ethnic group from Tierra del Fuego, South America, the Land of Fire in the Argentine Patagonia, a strong and amazing culture that eventually was purposely vanished and up rooted from our history by the Spaniards and the early local half breeds of the local government… This ethnic group, their believes and knowledge, will be playing an important role with the main character coming from their folk history into our story, bringing then the intention of reflecting us in our complexity, our syncretism culture. Together with the strips -the narration- we’ve created miniature sculptures of the characters, artwork of the scenery and concept, and an incipient game concept of adventure narration… The story begins in Buenos Aires, with a man writing a story, the way we do right now. A momentary lapse of reason will take him to a faraway fiction like - though very real- land of adventures and life experiences… Our comic is undergoing a rich and interesting production process, where creative and ingenious individuals taking part in this project are all chipping in with their ideas, passion and craftsmanship to create an outstanding final product. Our playful artistic creation will then have a triple meaning from the start, it’s going to be a story, a work of art and a game, all at the same time. You, our very important front row readers will have the best possible access to our comic and art. We’ll be posting on our website permanent entrees of advances on the story, the art and the game development. Bob Frassinetti: For more information: Email: Bob Frassinetti.

Teddy Bear made in Argentina
Real Estates and boutique hotel in Buenos Aires After the 2001 crisis in Argentina, the so called one to one economy was replaced by an other strategy: devaluation. This means that what on 2001 cost 200 pesos, or 200 dollars, nowadays is just 66.67 dollars. All prices have been rearranged considering this new economic plan that's been organized by the Argentinean government together with the IMF and the World Bank. And Real Estates are no exception, the proportion in which properties all over Buenos Aires have drawn depends of course on many factors, such as location, type of property, etc. At the same time the Argentinean economy has been reconditioned to work in a new configuration, a service area that has been growing ever since is tourism. All throughout the 90s visiting Buenos Aires -our capital city- or taking some time off at one of our magnificent sky centers in the Patagonia region was as expensive as touring through Rome, Paris or skiing in Switzerland. Nowadays for the exchange rate is so favorable towards the American or European currencies Argentina has become a much more appealing vacation resort. For those who love and enjoy great dinning, terrific sights in a dream holiday and don't want to be robbed off by the extraordinary high European rates this is the answer. No wonder the constant flow of visitors we've been having lately. At the same time judging by local and foreign statistics there's been a growth in two specific developing markets: business travel and more specifically collectors. They have long noticed the potential of locally produced items of yarn and are now taking on an increasingly growing market. This gorgeous metropolis has all the luxury and comfort to offer its visitors with high class lodging, delightful food and amazing cultural and social activities. However, within the developing collectibles market there's much to do. In terms of products and information, The Buenos Aires Toy Museum has been in the vanguard of information and items collection ( www.the-ba-toymuseum.com ).Working locally and in collaboration with American and European fellow collectors this museum has been rescuing this historical and cultural patrimony as well as recovering those amazing one of a kind vintage objects. The museum has been developing so far within the Internet. In the world of collectibles the globalized technology is our best allied for it allows us to connect worldwide with fellow collectors, exchange valuable data and items for our collections. To give the museum a physical location is the obvious next step in its evolution line. However, in these days the Museum's project has broadened into a collectors club. Considering the most favorable conditions within the specific market (collectibles), the evolution of Argentina's Real Estates market and the increasingly flow of tourists to these southern and beautiful lands we believe the best possible advance in this field is a boutique hotel. This hotel would be unique, for each room is in itself a personal show room with original vintage Argentinean collectibles. Our philosophy is simple, we truly believe in offering the top of the top comfort that one can surely get at any of the marvelous five stars hotels (Sheraton, Hilton, Four Seasons, etc) but within a very personalized atmosphere specially arranged to fit our visitors needs. The boutique and unique collectibles hotel would be located in one of Buenos Aires most divine areas: San Isidro. This suburban area is just a few minutes ride from the nosiness of the city. It's a tranquil river side happening zone, surrounded by great restaurants, pubs and cafes; terrific art galleries and outstanding spots such as the old city of San Isidro, reminding us about our colonial and early 18th century past, an intense cultural and social atmosphere that makes this area the perfect location for our Boutique hotel. The Buenos Aires collectibles boutique hotel is an outstanding inversion opportunity. The market's conditions couldn't be better. The timing is just as precise as it could ever be. This superb lodging is what Buenos Aires and its visitors need. Our Boutique unique hotel and collectors club would be the first one in Latin America, and there's no better place to start than Buenos Aires. For this port side city has historically been at the vanguard of Latin America's cultural and social development. A local unexplored market so far is awaiting to be updated to the world's latest trends in show rooms and lodging that will converge in this outstanding boutique hotel Latin American styled. Kinder Ferrero Argentina,. We sell World Wide!
We sell TOYS from all South America, Argentina to Mexico! Kinder Chocolate eggs an outstanding Italian invention The story of the delicious egg-shaped chocolate begins in the northern area of Italy, more precisely in Piedmont, during the times of the Second World War. The man behind the chocolate was the bright Pietro Ferrero. Ferrero was living in a time of shortage of products due to the international conflict, and so he began to think of alternative products to produce his chocolates and candy, and so he came up with the idea of combining the local hazelnuts with a small portion of imported chocolate, and magic began!! The result was a delightful piece of candy with a novel flavor, and it was christened chiandujot. The success was immediate, not only because they had come up with a new and interesting product, but also because the product was perfect for the market they targeted, nutritional, rich in energy for those harsh war years and produced with mostly local products. Pietro an Giovanni Ferrero were the conceivers of the idea, but the project began to take colossal dimensions when their immediate relatives –brothers and nephews- took upon the challenge of taking the concept to a broader level. During the 1950s Ferrero chocolates expanded throughout Europe. The German branch, was the pioneer example of a trend that would latter take shape in what’s known as the internationalization of the agro-alimentary The 60s would open with a new product, a treasured and delicious one: Nutella. The importance of Ferrero in Europe was doubtless. By 1970, Ferrero and its delicious products were all over the world, having not only modernized the lines of production, but also consolidating the brand all over the world, reaching for the very important trans oceanic markets in the US and Central America. It is at this time, during the late 70s, when the fabulous and delicious Kinder Surprise is conceived and launched internationally. From then on, the growth and development of what began as a witty idea to sort out the problem of wartime shortages has been amazing. Today, Ferrero has branched to over 30 coutnries around the globe, all directed by the Italian central. There are over 17 factories around the planet amongst three are in Latin America, and over 37 representatives. But amongst all Ferrero’s products, there’s one that stands above the rest because of the “revolution” it has caused within the world of candy for children and collectibles: that is the Kinder Surprise, these small, medium and large egg-shaped chocolate are whole in side, containing an orange capsule with a small toy, puzzle or game. When we wanted to know who came up with the idea of the surprise and the chocolate, we found to versions: the first being that it was an idea of Michele Ferrero back in 1974. His line of thought went like this “all children are the same. They like to play; they seek for fun and love. They always love discovering something. They love Chocolate” The other story sais that Heiri Roth, a Swiss Industrial Engineer came up with the concept back in 1972. Divergences about the origin aside, the idea was a success, and small one piece hand made toy collections were specially conceived to be introduced into the eggs. A turning point in the surprises occurred in 1983, when the original one piece toy was substituted by toy parts and instructions, an extra pinch to add to the “game-toy” concept that gave birth to Kinder Surprise. At first, the Kinder Egg toy collections featured cartoon, stories and comic book characters such as Asterix, Mickey Mouse and Robin Hood. In 1986, Ferrero launches its own conceived collection: Happy Froggs. The impact of these characters in the world of collectors from around the globe was immense, and indeed, wasn’t initially part of the plan Ferrero had thought for the surprises, targeting them for children. All in all, today, all over the globe are collectors of all ages who truly treasure the miniature toys. Even more, a couple of years ago, in Rome, a Ferrero/Kinder convetion was held featuring the Italian story of Ferrero. Today, Kinder Surprises Chocolate eggs are consumed in over 60 countries, and it’s estimated that the sales have reach the broad number of over 30 million units.
